Welcome to byte5 ...
In this blog series, the newest members of our second family introduce themselves. Today: Web designer Patrizia, who everyone affectionately calls Trish or Trishi by everyone. The 26-year-old loves cats, tattoos and her job and has been with byte5 since September 2019.
What is your position at byte5?
Officially? I’m a web designer. But unofficially, I’m the girl for everything graphics-related. 😉
Where are you from? Where were you before you came to byte5?
Ironically, before byte5, I had just come out of the gaming industry! Initially, I wanted to make user interfaces for games, but sometimes in life everything changes at all once – as you would not have expected.

What brought you to byte5?
Let’s call it a series of happy coincidences from both sides! In the end, byte5 fit me just great from my skillset and what the company offered me.
What is it that appeals to you about your work as a web designer?
I actually just hate it when I have to work with things that are poorly designed. I've been doing this for so long (for 11 years, whoa ...!). You just notice directly when things don’t follow basic design rules. I also spend so much time online – I pick up a lot of new trends. I just find it interesting how quickly everything develops and changes.
What projects are you involved in?
Hmmm! Can I tell that already? In any case, I am currently designing the interface of an app for a German airport, which simplifies the passenger’s journey.
What did you find most interesting about your work in the projects so far? And with byte5 in general?
I think it’s pretty cool that I have such a big say around here. As a designer, you are usually ordered around. But at byte5, I can argue for and against matters and my professional opinion is actively accepted.
Is there anything that surprised you at byte5?
Yes, actually: the team size? After the first phone call with Chris, I somehow felt like that there were a lot more people working here than there are. But we are in fact more of a tight-knit family!
Describe byte5 in three words, starting with the first letter of your name:
